What Prayer Is, What It’s Not, and Why We Do It
Before Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, they already knew prayer. What they did not have was the kind of prayer life they saw modeled in Jesus, marked by intimacy, authority, and power.
In this foundational lesson, we establish a biblical understanding of prayer. Prayer is not religious repetition or crisis management. Prayer is communication with God, alignment with Heaven, spiritual warfare, intimacy with the Father, and partnership with His purposes in the earth.
This lesson sets the framework for the entire series and challenges believers to move prayer from the margins of life to the center.
