Day 2 - The Living Word

Reading: John 1:1–14

Key Verse: John 1:14 — “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

When John says, “In the beginning was the Word,” he uses the Greek Logos. That word means “the divine expression” — the communication of God Himself. Jesus didn’t *bring* the Word; He *is* the Word.

This is important, because it tells us the Word of God is not just text — it’s a Person. When you open Scripture, you’re not just reading information; you’re encountering Christ Himself. His Word is His nature revealed.

“The Word of God is not simply an utterance. It is God in self-revelation.” — Karl Barth

When the Word became flesh, it showed that God doesn’t want His Word to stay in heaven — He wants it embodied in us. Every time you apply Scripture, you become a living demonstration of His truth in the earth.

Meditation Questions:

1. How does knowing that Jesus is the Word change the way you approach Scripture?
2. What Word do you sense God wants to make “flesh” in your life right now?

Reflection:
When you internalize the Word, it changes from something you quote to something you live. Jesus didn’t just speak truth — He *was* truth. That’s the goal for every believer.

Prayer Declaration:
“Lord Jesus, You are the living Word. Live Your life through me. Let Your truth take root and become visible in how I think, speak, and live.”
