DAY 1 — Seeing Through the Right Lens

DAY 1 — Seeing Through the Right Lens

Reading: Genesis 3

Key Verse: Genesis 3:10 — “And he said, ‘I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.’”

When Adam sinned, his first reaction wasn’t repentance—it was fear. The fall didn’t begin with fruit; it began with *a new perspective.* Adam’s lens shifted from fellowship to fear, from faith to shame. He hid from the One who gave him life.

This same pattern still operates today. Many believers love God but live hidden—ashamed, guarded, and afraid of exposure. When you live through a fallen lens, you interpret everything through insecurity: “I’m not enough. I’ll never change. I don’t belong.”

Renewal begins when you allow God to restore sight. The Spirit confronts not only sin but the perception that came with it. God doesn’t just forgive you—He adjusts your lens.

Reflection Questions:
1. What area of your life has been shaped by fear rather than faith?
2. Where do you still hide from God’s presence?
3. How has shame distorted your self-view?

Prayer Declaration:
“Father, open my eyes again. Restore how I see You, myself, and life through Your Word. I refuse to live through the lens of fear. I receive the clarity that comes from Your presence.”
